 The spread of coronavirus infection in China has been stopped, according to the Russian agency RIA-Novosti, citing a statement by Mi Feng, the official representative of the State Committee for Healthcare of China.

Mi Feng said at a briefing that as of March 28, the number of confirmed cases of infection with the infection is less than three thousand. 

According to recent data, in China since the outbreak of COVID-19, about 81,439 cases of infection have been reported, 75,576 patients have recovered, 3,300 have died.

To date, 177 countries on all continents except Antarctica are affected by COVID-19 pandemics. According to WHO, about 570 thousand people were infected, more than 26 thousand died. According to statistics from Johns Hopkins University, in total more than 665 thousand people fell ill with COVID-19 in the world, 30 852 died, 141 thousand were cured.
